For a sculptor who works in large scale, a property with attached workshop was a dream. To transform the commercial compound, the architect reorganized the single story office building to serve as a gallery-like residence. Building on the white walls and polished concrete floors, we layered in warm materials with a mid-century undertone, including walnut panelling and a custom reeded island. To add a twist, we introduced some global elements, including zellige tile, an Indian-inspired headboard, and a fireplace with a cheeky take on Moroccan architecture.

“Heather Peterson and team were outstanding listeners who were able to meet the moment and harness the feel and function that I was seeking for our space.”
