Working Together

A blue balloon chair with a detailed inner pattern is flanked by a large square mirror reflecting the interior of this midcentury home in Minneapolis.

What’s it like to work with Heather Peterson Design? It’s collaborative, transformative, and results in a home that reflects who you are and how you live. Not only do we love to talk design, we want to talk about you. We understand the importance of honoring your personal history while expressing where you want to go in the future. We will look closely at what you value both in your life and in your possessions.

1 | Meet and Plan

In our initial meeting we will talk big picture and explore the fresh possibilities for your home. Once we understand how you want your home to function we’ll take a deeper dive exploring room layouts, color palettes and initial material selections to translate how you want your space to look and feel into something tangible.

2 | Source and Design

Once we’ve agreed on a design direction things really get fun. Whether it’s sourcing original art, hunting down unique vintage pieces, or collaborating with specialty artisans, we will find the perfect combination of elements that reflect your individual taste. You’ll always have a say in what stays and what goes. This is your home and it should reflect your personality, not mine.

3 | Execute and Complete

As the project progresses, let go of time-consuming details and let me and my team focus on the logistics of project management, purchasing, and installation. We will be sure to keep you informed of the project progress while you get to sit back knowing that we have systems in place to make the process enjoyable, efficient, and organized.

Heather Peterson Design works collaboratively to bring your dreams for your space to life. Heather helped me discover my personal aesthetic and gave me the courage to make bold but gratifying choices. We had a true partnership and the result is extraordinary.
