Celestial Wallpaper

In my last post I wrote about the steps we took to transform a guest room into a boy’s room, without scrapping everything and starting over. One of the things he wanted was stars on the ceiling and of course we were happy to oblige!

The paper is up and we all just love it. Adding it to a space with a lot of pattern already was a risky move, but I think it really paid off! Client’s cell phone pic:

To find the right paper, we did a major round up of the stars (and moon) options out there.

Celestial Wallpapers

1) The classic, and our choice for this space. Ralph Lauren, through a designer

2) Coronata Star by Osborne and Little, available through a designer. Comes in many colors.

3) Stardust from Hygge and West. Comes in multiple colors, but we liked the unusual choice of blush!

4 and 5) Cole and Sons Stars, available through a designer. Another classic, also comes in multiple colors. I used it on the ceiling of this sunroom and still love it deeply!

6) Matthew Williamson Belvoir, available through a designer and available in multiple colors. I love that this one has a pattern inside each star.

7) Chasing Paper Black and White New Moon Removable wallpaper, available through Create and Barrel. Less environmental than the others, but a fun graphic paper representing the phases of the moon.

8) Twinkle Little Star peel and stick wallpaper by York, through a designer, through Hirshfields and other retailers

9) Nuit Etoilee mural through papermint. I love this dreamy option with the ombre layout

10) Under the Stars through spoonflower, available non-pasted, pre-pasted, and removable options

11) Schumacher Stargaze, available through a designer

12) Big Trixie by Donghia, available through a designer

13) Isobar from Roostery. A charming take on constellations with origami-like illustrations of animals overlaying the stars.

Do you like stars on the ceiling? did you ever have those peel and stick glow in the dark ones as a kid?

What would you choose if you were to go for wallpaper now? Did we miss any good ones that you are crushing on?
